Felted patchwork Katwise inspired recycled sweatercoats. Similar to other Katwise-inspired pixie/elf/faerie coats found on Etsy but painstakingly machine-needle-felted for increased durability and better fit. Most contain buttery-soft, luxurious recycled cashmere. Some are 100% cashmere. Mixed with fleece for visual flare.
This one is part of my newer "pixie bottom" coat designs - even the "skirt" section is felted for supreme durability. Also hidden inside the hood brim are 4 felted layers.. so instead of 2-ply cashmere, think 8-ply... which I felted the heck out of to super-compress them, so the hood brim has a lot more structure than my earlier works, but without adding too much bulk. The result is a hood that has a better "hang" and holds a shape better when worn up over the head. Most of my coats have bells at the tip of the hood and the belt ties so they are musical, and this coat has extra bells on the pockets too. 🎵

This, so far, is one of the best coats I've made yet and is more durable and more well made than my earlier non-felted works. It also took a lot more time, which is why the price is higher. This was about a week's worth of work, not factoring in the cost of materials (which alone are ~$100.00). The cashmere, especially in the brighter colors, is just expensive. It is SO worth it though. High quality materials enable high quality finished works.😍
These are not cheap. It's a big decision. If you're not sure, email me and ask any question (other than price - I explain that in my WTFact section): email@example.com
If a coat is just over the top, I've got some lower-hanging fruit for you - check out my arm warmer, leg-warmer or hat listings as I often make these from material left over from the coats. You can put together a pair of arm-warmers, leg-warmers and a hat for a little less than a coat, but still have a SUPER cute ensemble! I don't always have a complete set, but it's worth a look. 😊
Shipping info in a nutshell: Weight on these coats is generally 4-6 pounds. They are sent in a vacuum-sealed bag inside a box and sent with insurance due to their value. I can't show you the shipping cost without knowing where you're at, so that's why you don't see shipping on the product page itself. Example cost : ~$15-20 for priority mail with insurance to send to... Portland, USA. I pay the insurance cost. Am I not generous?? 😎
I DO offer local pickup for those in Colorado, just not automagically in checkout. It's done by appointment, and proof of vaccine is required. Shipping charge refunded upon pickup. More on that here, along with a funny video as a reward for reading my more long-winded info: https://www.persephonelove.com/policies/shipping-policy
