Collection: Sweatercoats & Hoodies

All sweater coats and hoodies. Machine-needle-felted wool/cashmere mixed with fleece for baby soft warmth. Each one is a one-of-a-kind item. As far as I can tell, I'm the only Katwise-inspired artisan that machine-needle-felts the bodice, sleeves and hoods on these coats (and the skirt section too on my newer ones), which makes them more durable and less prone to distortion but also takes a LOT more time and increases the amount of material used (which is why they cost what they do). 😉 More about machine needle-felting HERE

They're not designed to be worn in a blizzard in heavy snow, but these do keep a person warm - much more so than non-felted coats. It's like wearing a warm HUG. If you're looking at other coats and just need a frame of reference for comparison before you decide, you can order a cheapie needle-felted sample HERE.

Whether you buy from me or someone else, I hope you'll come to appreciate all the time and work that goes into these. Artists deserve a living wage. 😉 Wherever you get your coat from, thank you for supporting artisans and buying handmade. Bonus points for helping the environment too! 😁

Worried about fit?? Read my blog post real quick about that, you'll be glad you did. That's over here.

If you don't see what you're looking for, head on over to my poll (hint: aka "Fashion By Demand") and vote for more and they will magically appear! (That's as close as I get to "custom work" - that way I get some artistic license, and you don't have to commit.)

Follow me on Facebook  or Instagram and be first to know when new treasures come out and to see photos of works coming soon. 😎

Follow me on Pinterest too for good measure. Tons of goodies on there - everything from sewing, to gardening, to recycling, to neat oddities from around the intarwebs, to just living your best life.
